Kyle Phoenix Answers: Am I a terrible person?

Question: My brother's wife is very ill but I am in Europe.  I've been saving up for this trip for awhile and want to finish it.  Should I abandon it and rush to be with them?  I don't want to.


You will always be a terrible person to someone else's perspective. Your brother's wife is his wife, not your responsibility. So you're suppose to sit in the house staring at her and handing her soup? What about your life?

Stay in Europe, visit on schedule. As you don't assist with their sex life, you need not assist with their health life.

Direct relatives like parents, yes. Maybe a close sibling. Everyone else is a supportive card, call and fruit basket and you go to the funeral.
