Kyle Phoenix Answers: What is the motivation behind a daddy/boy gay relationship? Why would even a fully mature man want to perceive himself as a boy, and look for an older man to be his "daddy"?

I’ve dated a handful of significantly older men. Who were my senior by a minimum of 15 years and I think the oldest was at least 30 years older than me. While none of them lead to relationships, they were all much more confident than same age or younger men I’ve dated. Younger men can be so bold as to be brash, pushy and same age men can be confused because they don’t know what to be at their age—-younger or older, leader or cherished follower, interested or casual—-same age men tend to be in an emotional limbo.

To teh other side. The older men I dated enjoyed the vitality of a younger man, teh breadth of interests. They energy. A man, thanks to science, can now be sexually active no matter his age but let’s keep this to the late 60s. That doesn’t mean you still don’t have a sex drive/interest. Often MSM spend so much time becoming the men they want to be, their sexuality that they’re over 50 by the time they’re out, comfortable, sexually assertive, willing to date. It’s a slow maturation process. Heterosexual men also have benchmarks of children, marriage, divorce, etc to discern where they should be and what they should be doing in their lives. Older men also have more resources, having worked longer, saved up, bought some things so they have more disposable cash to do things. I think of the six I dated, at least 4 of them were multimillionaires. One even owned a chain of stores throughout the state. Another was big in textiles. Another a Broadway producer. I was in my 20s/early 30s so they were seeming light years ahead of me.

The trade off of course was that though the game is slicker the male ego is still present. I didn’t realize how much they had sexualized me, thinking they would be different than younger men. They were just smoother in their approach.

There’s also the element of control and domination through simply psychic weight. An older mind can move faster, deeper, quicker than a younger one because it knows more, can recognize patterns in life, in personalities faster so they appear smarter. That smartness can be pressed to being an advantage. If you’ve had father issues, fatherhood desires, father wants, it can feel like a dream come true on both sides. The younger guys is psychically dependent upon you and perhaps resource wise too. I find some of the same psychic dependency in young males that I’m mentoring. But I have a pointed goal to get them to independence. I want them to push back against me. A Daddy man, doesn’t want that natural push back that always occurs. This is where the strife always occurs.

goes into this. It talks about based on testosterone levels, some (15%) being Alphas and (85%) Betas. Ok, but what about as you age? The question being that an Alpha thinks he wants a young twink, what he really wants is the youthful energy and effervescence. That can be in an older Beta. Think the Birdcage.

An older Beta thinks he wants a young Alpha stud, who has no interest in him sexually and just wants to use him for his resources. The most common scenario. What an older Beta has to do is find an Alpha, perhaps younger but over 30–40, who is mature, established. Kind of like the picture above.

I found the older men I dated wanted to both dominate me in my thinking process and sexualize me to their pleasure. It was weird. I didn’t feel like a girl. But I didn’t feel like they were relating to me completely as a man. More like a teenager. They had a slightly immature expectation of my “greed” being swayed by teh offer of a house, moving out from my family, money, liquor. Personally I’m not a sway by stuff or money kind of person because I didn’t grow up poor so it doesn’t enamor me as much. But I definitely felt they were trying to use their age, their maturity to entice me.

Not seduce, not charm, not romance me but to entice me. More like

I would’ve ended up in bed with all 6 of them, I was young, had seduction been on teh menu, and a mature seduction was what I was looking for. The 6th one that I had a messy, incomplete, drunken tumble with, was such a sketchy asshole but he’d pursued me for over a year so I relented. I couldn’t get a bead on him, his maturity and his enjoyment of bars. That confusion made it difficult to like him so it fizzled in bed.

Somewhere in here is strategy for older men with younger men as targets.
