That’s a hard one! (Pun!)
I say that because most of the time I’m not sure. I’m an obtuse Alpha socially so I miss a lot of Beta clues about sexuality. Luckily I live in NYC where everyone is gay and some guys swing hetero!
I see men and then they do or say something and I’m like-—-does that chocolate bar have some nuts in it? Would it like some?
Men don’t broadcast sexuality very clearly to me unless we’re in an environment. Like a gay bar or event. Then I assume everyone is. But in general it’s very hard to tell and then I see profiles online and everyone looks so…. normal. Sometimes I like to just look at the range of normal faced guys who want things—-it’s in their profile and imagines them discovering those things, getting into things, how they discovered their interests in such things. Frankly, some guys are schmoes, ordinary, others sharp and handsome, others smacked with the ugly stick, quite a few smacked with the hetero bat. That diversity makes it difficult to accurately tell. Then all the metrosexual stuff ruins the pretty ones. Then White guys are a little fey to begin with. Then, Black and Latino, fatherless males are a little fey from too much fey at home./ Then Asians are you know…fey.
I follow Keith Swain’s advice and pretend every man I see is LGBTSGLQAWUBBAWUBBA until proven differently and I smile accordingly.
