How deeply ingrained is the idea of race in American society? by #KylePhoenix

Race is a social construct. Constructed primarily in America to legitimize America and American structural systems—-government ad business. America is built on government and business. So the social construct—-a delusion—-permeates every facet of America in self-destructive ways. We are less of a country, less rich, less powerful, less innovative, less creative because of it.

Imagine a hypothetical—-instead of manning and maintaining concentration camps—-the Nazis just had those trains take Jewish and non-desirable folk to the borders of the country, have them walk over a bridge, closed the bridge then shot anyone who tried to come back. They deported them.

Now imagine this—-all of the people who were killed in concentration camps. Millions, day after day after day after day. Transported, stripped, some to work some to die. Millions. It took years.

Now imagine this—-the bill for a concentration camp. All of the trains and fuel it took to transport millions of people miles and miles to camps. Then all of the staffing on the trains, at the train stations, soldier to clear out neighborhoods, soldiers to maintain the camps, staff to run the camps, even meager supplies to keep some of the prisoners alive. Lets say it cost1 million work hours in staffing and maybe $100 million dollars in staff costs and then another $100 million in materials. And that’s not counting the rebellions, the ire it created, the bad-will. Then inflate it to 21st dollars.

Let’s call it $2 billion dollars in human capital effort/staff/army and materials. Now let’s say instead of the camps, all of that were turned to research, weapons', etc. then.

They would’ve won the war There was a point even with so many Allies that the Germans had a shot. But they got hampered down in not just war and annexing but in cleansing—-really, a deep tick about hegemony.

Turn to America with the hypothetical model.

How much money, labor, effort, human capital has been focused into discrimination based upon skin color/ethnicity/culture upon Native, black, Asian, European, Jewish, “other” folk”?

Internment camps, governmental sessions and court systems, segregated neighborhoods, soldiers, police, attacking folk, not incorporating “minorities”—-about 40% of the population into a variety of businesses (thereby lessening their amassing of money—wealth—-which means less consumers and investors)

White folk in America are about 6x the amount of Black folk. Latinos being about 5–20% of the 13–15% Black folk hold as. Making the White population roughly 60+% of Americans. Our GNP is a rough $15 trillion a year. Lets do messy math and say about $9 trillion of that falls squarely at the productive feet of White Americans, their efforts, and the rest is split amongst the other “minorities”—-so $2 trillion from Blacks and closer to $3 trillion from Latinos and the rest to Asians and Natives and others.

Now, messy math again, lets say it was all equal, so everyone is worth that 6x—-that multiplication against population as a division being businesses, government, real estate, investments—-all kittied in because we’re equal or multiplied to the 6x. Blacks are now $12 trillion contributors, Latinos $18 trillion, and the rest $6 trillion=$36 trillion plus $9 trillion x 6=$80 trillion—-lets push it tighter to reality and cut it in half to distribute “equally”—-we’d be at $40 trillion—-the undisputed world leader by leagues.

The White Loss From Racism

See, in order to maintain inequality—-you have to maintain this racism game in laws, efforts, governmental structures, court systems, highway stops, Sun Down towns, job hiring policies. That takes effort. Lots and lots of effort. In fact I’m sure someone will insanely one day measure how many people’s jobs directly and indirectly support racism, holding others back. Discrimination requires constant attention and effort.

White Dinner

You can’t come over to my home for dinner. No, I don’t want you to come over.

But it requires effort for me to leave my home, come to your neighborhood and burn down your local supermarket, burn down the furniture store that sells tables and chairs and then go to your home and cut the electricity to your house—-to prevent you from HAVING dinner. That’s where and what White folk are pressed into by the design of their own system.

See, it looks on the subjective side as if they’re in control of everything and manage everything. But consider this—-they have to maintain control and management of everything. Constantly. Consistently. And like rats on a ship, all the minorities are constantly biting and chewing and finagling and testing and challenging and pushing and pulling and kicking and screaming——-so they have to maintain and contain that too. Whether that’s as governmental officials, police, fire fighters, teachers, entertainers—-they all have to keep playing a singular game of containment and exclusion.

Sounds tiring, yes?

And right over the walls, imaginary borders, are the horde of mongrels from China, Africa, the Middle East Latin America and them sneaky Canadians.

We, Americans, are in a fractured wall-in kingdom—-which is why we invest so much in a military because imagine two or three world powers announced they would be taking over America BUT they were giving sovereign freedom, land and cash to all minorities—-literally, potentially 40% of the American population would turn against other Americans—-an I’m sure a sizeable chunk of White people would break themselves down culturally to Jewish, Italian, Polish, etc. to cash in on the Paychecks to Revolt.

White's, even by birth rates, are stultifying, freezing, going static because of lots of social and political things but in America segregation has also meant we’re Americans overall by ideology—but not everyone is considered or benefits from it—-creating fractures.

The Lost Advantage of Blacks, Latinos But Not Asians

Education.

All of the materials—-books, videos, etc. have been laid out of the streets (public libraries) of how to take over America. But Blacks and Latinos, primarily, en masse ignore them and instead demand White people—-the architects of hegemony and racism, be further architects and fix this——equality for us—-which has never happened. “If only White people would…..” goes right up there with “If only the Germans would stop taking us to concentration camps..”

Once a group is taking you to camps, segregating you, bleeding you, killing you, excluding you….once it becomes the profitable norm—-they’re not going to stop————-though taking you to the German border and forcing you across the bridge would’ve been more expedient and humane.

Denied basic and then further education—-only a fraction—-30–40% of us being higher educated with melanin vs. 70–80% of 6x as many people—-is why we’re so lopsided into inequality. Technically, mathematically, only a portion of Blacks and Latinos—-lets say 50% are capable of operating at a fully engaged and expectation of productivity “equality”. This is because you keep hampering the majority for generations that when a door is opened, it’s not just that a small number will make their way through, it’s that a small number voluntarily make their way through the Enhance Door. Most Blacks and Latinos kick aside the books, gems of knowledge, training, skills, etc strewn through America’s physical and cyber highways because racism—-as hegemony—-has convinced them to eschew the passport to the queue line for the Enhancement Door—-education.

So, racism works as both a label, a segregator but more important as a double sided sword limiter. It limits minorities in it engenders false and skewed beliefs that prevent enhancement based upon historical negative efforts against said people.

But racism also negates White people in America because so much of their time, working and even creative is spent segregation—-walking the perimeter of the concentration camps, cooking food for the prisoners who are meant to die—-but you still make 3 meals a day for them, dealing with them in an overtaxed justice system, dealing with yearly riots (property destruction, police overtime, city flight), the effort it takes to create impediments to voting—-that takes a lot of scheming and printing and jury0rigging and effort, effort, effort.

Is it no wonder that they highest suicide rate are White American men?

They’re yes, the biggest benefactors f racism but that’s like saying the concentration camp guards who work 16 hour days driving the trains, dealing with the people, killing the people, managing the camps, patrolling the camps, seeing the scorn and hatred in everyone’s eyes, being constantly fearful of attack and retribution—-get a steak and lobster dinner every night. And they’re scared every day that the prisoners will notice that disassembled weapons make up the barracks, line the streets of the prison, are what the prisoners are manufacturing. Someday the millions of them behind the barbed wire will realize that they could assemble the weapons and counterattack, become a legitimate power force.

Wouldn’t you get as much out of your tour as you could and then kill yourself because you can see the inevitable outcome?

The Latinos.

See we need labor, always will. Between children and the elderly, a countries population is subdivided so we need 18 to 70 year old folk and a lot of Latin countries have what we need—-people, Human Capital. It’s estimated that Immigration laws have to change, not to be enforcing but to get them folk registered to pay taxes—-there’s n estimated 11+ million folk in America who are one undocumented but two, most importantly not paying taxes at an equal rate to their usage of the overall American systems. And by 2030, we’re going to need more—-like 30 million more. Mainly because our Social Security system wasn’t designed for folk to live too far past 65 and now 90s and older are becoming natural. It used to be 2 to 3 people worked 50 years and their FICA taxation/contribution paid for 1 old person who died within a handful of years after turning 65 and getting SSI. Now we’re down to 1 person paying for 12 SSI recipients.

We need more young people to work here legally and pay taxes.

Watch there will be a massive legal reform around immigration—-a simplified way to get in and amnesty those here.

What About The Blacks, Kyle? (Approximately 50 million)

  1. Category 1: Right now we break down as 40% in permanent Generational Poverty/Poor.
  2. Category 2: 30% educated, skilled and doing well as a stable Middle Class, Upper Middle Class and Rich.
  3. Category 3: 30% educated, skilled and operating as Poor, Working Class, Middle Class due to divorce, schooling, death in the family, instability BUT their positionality in Poor and Working is situational—-through life circumstances, they will enhance, grow, change over time.
  4. Category 4: There’s a micro percentage in Wealth—-Oprah, Michael Jordan, say a few hundred to a thousand individuals with a personal value over $100 million but less than 1% (where it’s 6 to 10% in this category as White folk. Look at the color of the paper of the Forbes list and the majority of the folk on the list.)

The problem is that Category 1 will stay static or expand—-only about 18% of people move Social Classes from Poverty to Middle Class. Category 4 can’t expand fast enough because it requires time, patience and education to transfer the mentality, systems and intellect of wealth. Category 3 is always at risk from its’ own individual issues so it will never wholly stabilize—-and the Black folk that leave it for Category 2 will be replaced by that 18% comeuppers from Category 1—-who will bring their verve and ambition but not necessarily social class knowledge of how to move to stable categories. (Bluntly yes they might make over $36k—Middle Class but they won’t invest it in real estate, land, stocks so their monies will go to consumer brands and survival needs—-they’ll become a permanent instable Category.)

What About The Latinos, Kyle? (Approximately 100 million, though at least 10–15% Undocumented)

  1. Category 1: Right now they break down as 60% in permanent Generational Poverty/Poor.
  2. Category 2: 20% educated, skilled and doing well as a stable Middle Class, Upper Middle Class and Rich.
  3. Category 3: 20% educated, skilled and operating as Poor, Working Class, Middle Class due to divorce, schooling, death in the family, instability BUT their positionality in Poor and Working is situational—-through life circumstances, they will enhance, grow, change over time.
  4. Category 4: There’s a micro percentage in Wealth—-Slim Peru, Jennifer Lopez, say a few hundred to a individuals with a personal value over $100 million but less than 1% (but the positive and negative benefits are that Latinos culturally are not one singular identity group—-they come from many places so they have multiple country connections from Mexico, to the Americas, to Brazil, etc.. This is negative because though they might have a similar language, they are not united because they’re people from differing Latin countries.)
  5. Category 5: 21st Century Immigrants. The advantage Latinos have as a mass group is that they have more team members coming in—-not from normal population growth of births but from those 30+millon we’ll need, probably primarily from Mexico—-to buttress and sustain the Tax and Social Security and Work Force systems here in America.

The same category issues will happen for the Latinos, there will just be more of them for it to happen to.

It is America’s efforts to maintain exclusion through racism that maintains it being fractured and half the country in wealth it could be. And as the decades move on in the 21st century, the “browning of America” which is really the less whitening of it, will mean that not being properly (generationally) trained to maintain AND prosper a country—-because White people will start to enclave themselves, power, money and knowledge)—-the Blacks and Browns who are termed usurpers in some ways—-will have to start from not quite scratch but a step or two behind the 21st century because of being excluded.

BUT China and India and Japan and Africa and South America won’t have those liabilities.

Simple statistic:

India is pumping out from their universities—-600,000 engineers a year.

America is pumping out 30,000. (demographically 10/15 being Black and Latino), 20x less than India.

Yes, India had inter-cultural issues, caste issues but they don’t segregate in the same exclusionary ways so they educate across the board. Same numbers for China in regards to computer science.

America, in a world competitive game, has sidelined with racism 15+ million Black individuals and 20–30 million Latinos——all residents. White America concentration camp-racism guards spending their time herding 45+ million people in prisons, court systems, lower rank jobs, school systems, herding, herding, herding——sheep that bear no wool nor food.

Multiply 45,000,000 times average value/salary $36k per year= $1.6 Trillion a year is spent on racism, as a low range cost to White people…….because when the hordes come—-they’re going to look more like the Latino and Black folk in the sacked kingdom. And having lived and integrated into one rule, we will do so—-about 50% of each Latino and Black cohort, will integrate in language, work, effort, etc. to the new owners/rulers of America.

The first sword stab to White America’s heart will be the comprehensive immigration changes in about 10 years.

Why is black culture a problem for African Americans? by #KylePhoenix

There is no such thing as a Black culture.

Culture broadly is defined as——

  1. the arts and other manifestations of human intellectual achievement regarded collectively."20th century popular culture" Similar: the arts the humanities intellectual achievement(s)intellectual activity literature music painting philosophy
  2. the customs, arts, social institutions, and achievements of a particular nation, people, or other social group." Caribbean culture"

Ethnicity is

  1. the fact or state of belonging to a social group that has a common national or cultural tradition. "the interrelationship between gender, ethnicity, and class"

But culture in relationship to ethnicity/people is defined as three simple precepts:

  • language
  • country of origin
  • rituals

In order to be classified, recognized, as a culture/ethnicity, a grouping must possess all three. The problem with this is that it works for say Jews (Hebrew/Yiddish, Middle East/Africa, Seders, Yom Kippur, etc.)

Now we could on to a dissection of the authenticity of the 3 point evaluation system as it is from a Westernized ontology, epistemology—-though it really helps to define more of the non-Western world—- than all of the Western places. But to demonize a construct because of the issues with the construction architects is specious and doesn’t take into examination that the system might work/have a point.

Language-Black Americans have a language that is not formalized. (Yes we have Ebonics and Gullah and Creole, etc.——but you can’t get far in Nigeria speaking that, nor is it a language that is recognized and present elsewhere in large formalized ways. Meaning there are people speaking French in Finland but probably not Gullah. Now this has a lot to do with segregation and discrimination but all cultures discriminate against one another—-the examination here is formalized, adopted, living language. The again mix and match adoption of Black American languages and the fact that all of us Black Americans don’t speak one of the various forms, pushes them to language vs. dialect.)

Language is:

  1. the principal method of human communication, consisting of words used in a structured and conventional way and conveyed by speech, writing, or gesture" a study of the way children learn language"
  2. a system of communication used by a particular country or community. "the book was translated into twenty-five languages"

Dialect is:

  1. a particular form of a language which is peculiar to a specific region or social group.

"this novel is written in the dialect of Trinidad"

Black originating language would fall into dialect at best and not be recognized wholly as a language. It could be recognized as a language if millions of us spoke it or the other 2 precepts of culture were met. The problem is again segregation, we were segregated from each other so that we didn’t possess a uniform language so the languages we might have made universal, even amongst Black Americans, was diluted and eradicated to the point of non-formal existence.

Country of Origin-Black Americans have at best a biological ability to genetically trace country of origin but the vast majority don’t have a direct knowledge of that history, land, ancestry nor family in that African place.

Country of Origin is

  1. Generally speaking, the country of origin is the country of manufacture, production, or growth where an article or product comes from. Country of origin is not to be confused with where the product was shipped from as this may not be the same as where it was originally produced.

Rituals-Black Americans do have rituals that are a hodge podge of African rituals passed on from various African peoples/their ancestors of the past or viewing African rituals in the present and adopting them.

Rituals are

  1. a religious or solemn ceremony consisting of a series of actions performed according to a prescribed order. "the role of ritual in religion"

adjective

  1. relating to or done as a religious or solemn rite. "ritual burial"

We’re not Black, nor African Americans-Language

The above demarcations and breakdowns are why it is so difficult to define and focus a group of people who have African ancestry, and melanin, in common. We diverge on the 3 Precepts depending upon the individual but don’t coalesce as a mass to fulfill the 3 precepts. Segregation caused definitional fracturization.

You can be different kinds of Jews but still default to being a Jew. People of African origin who were brought mainly to South America and the Caribbean and then North America and Europe, were forced within a year to assimilate to that enslaving culture’s cultural norms, languages, rituals and by placement, country of origin mores. Therefore to bring the identity of their preceding generations to halt, a cultural chasm of Before, Assimilation/Disintegration, and then finally, Adoption.

Yes, there were Africans who arrived in the Americas who were not originally slaves and had knowledge-memory and were able to eventually write about having language, country of origin and rituals to create a known culture—-unknown to the present day mass of Black folk (famously Olaudah Equiano)—-but they too by virtue of minority to majority, had to forms of adoption-defaulting to the dominant culture.

One of the big defaults is English. We defaulted to the language spoken in the land of wherever we were in the Americas. Non-enslaved Africans were able to hold and maintain their origin language but the enslaved had to default—-which is where dialects sprouted from—-as both an combining, accommodation, translator, and individuation—-though done all in levels of enclaving and secrecy.

We’re not Black, nor Africans-Country of Origin

Most, well over 90% of Blacks/AAs don’t know which African country they have an ancestral lineage to. Some do. Those who were free and never enslaved, those who were able to record oral history and those who were educated—-or some combination of the three, make up those with ancestral-lineage knowledge. Most don’t. Most Blacks/African Americans don’t know who or what they are or where they’re from beyond 1–3 generations previous.

Luckily, that can now genetically be researched and change that. But most don’t/haven’t done so.

One of the reasons is prohibitive costs and it’s not entertainment based. If you got an ancestry test for free with Mercedes, BMWs, Nikes, Adidas, Tommy Hilfiger, a Jay-Z cd or watching BET—-literally half, if not all African Americans, would know where they genetically originate. Some consumer products have permeated deeply into Black-AAs, whether for good or ill, right or wrong, but there hasn’t been a long-term vision, past to present or present to past, incentive to include origination with those objects/experiences of entertainment/consumerism.

Maybe some day some billionaire will set up a trust where ancestry can be paid for just by application, Hmmm?

It’s not such a pressed idea among Black and AAs because we have the flattened idea of Africa, Africans as an origin, not understanding the power in country of origin.

(Now if your country of origin were designated on say your tax forms for a rebate…well…)

We’re Black, African American And Slightly African-Rituals

This is where we excel because it is ephemeral, malleable, enduring, social and personal. We could practice the majority of rituals, and pass them down by generation, whether indentured, free or enslaved. But because it was literally a game of generational mailbox, with people as a majority denied education (it would be wonderful for people who identify as Black/AA to explain WHY education was denied and the effect it has had upon their family line. Honestly, what we’re pressing at and demanding in unity and equality and equality—-is that we’re NOT equal because we were hampered—-but we never define what the hamperings effects are, present day. Ironically because enough of us don’t have the education to dissect the reality with critical thinking or metacognition to illuminate our limitations’ origin.)

We have less because less of us could think, compute and amass so those Blacks and AAs reading this, received far less from their ancestors in America than comparable White(ned) Americans. We’re not less then by segregation simply marginalized, less exposed, limited en masse.

How many of you own books (not the Bibble—-that is the Indoctrination Manifesto) from your grandparents, your great-grandparents, and so forth, back?

Indoctrination not knowledge of how to do things was passed down to you then. Bluntly then, we Blacks/AAs have less smart/educated people in our families because we don’t have internal social systems for cultivating knowledge, knowing as a (intellectual) ritual. Jewish people have Yeshiva and Talmudic studies—-which teaches not just history and religion and moral codes but also how to read, write, reason, critically think. At 12/13 boys and girls, Bat and Bar Mitzvahs, of Jewish faith stand before a large assemblage and relay, in another language, knowledge and cultural-historical knowledge that they’ve studied.

How many Black and Latino kids do this of not the Bibble (memorizing another culture’s values—-indoctrination) but any, African in origin, in an African country’s language of that person’s country of origin?

Blacks and AAs think the ramifications or limitations are the worse of discrimination, no, it’s the inherent disabling, subtly, generation after generation, and indoctrination—— currently, 93% of Blacks and AAs doing it now (I’ll explain how they’re doing it at the end.) But it’s the issue of indoctrination, alienation from knowledge and adoption of a Culture Disruptor—-the avoidance of current education.

Blacks and African Americans Avoid Not Just African Education but Education Itself

Something happened. As a teacher for decades, an educator, someone who enjoys education, learning, reading, writing, studying, who came from parents and grandparents and great-parents who (Black, White, African, Scottish, Irish Narragansett Natives, West Indian, Southern American) loved the same, I think it happened within Civil Rights Reform—-approximately 1955–1970. Before the full Amendments and Reform, prior to 1970 that adult generation was limited very directly by segregation—-between 10–15% of Blacks/AAs being beyond high school educated. Which is where we get the push for voting rights, recruiting voters, Septima Clark, education, grassroots activism to educate for political and social power, Ella Baker, Thurgood Marshall, Freedom Riders, etc.—-in order to achieve the end result of the CRA—-Blacks had to be, greater numbers, educated, about reading, writing, government, to be able to pass voting tests, become activists, assist in CRA. There was a mass group necessity for education to move to the “next level” in a segregated society—-education was then of the Talented Twentieth or Twentieth percentile a cultural/community responsibility not just for yourself but for your neighbor, your family, illiterate folk down South, folk on the front lines. Education was community based and necessary so the educated were supported in learning not deriding , like now, or accused of being White for being educated.

Often Black people look wistfully and twistedly, at segregation, at Jim Crow, for the positive, a sense of unification that it brought. It didn’t so much of bring unification as it brought No Choice. By that I mean if there are 50 of us in a jail cell and food and supplies are brought in, we must negotiate, navigate and perhaps even create systems of barter within that cell for everyone to survive and not devolve into anarchy. By that metaphor, in segregation, freed ostensibly from direct plantation slavery, 10 years of Reconstruction to catch our collective breath, before peonage, sharecropping, Jim Crow, prison chain gang-workers—-we had to build systems, as we were excluded from the mass White cultures systems’, outside of our social “cells”.

Fast forward that ideal of segregation to Now.

Say we were still sharply segregated, where as now we’re intermingled/intertwined but not truly mixed, and segregation meant that Black society was different and lesser in resources and systems than White societies.

Say it was 2022, Black segregation existed and only White towns, cities, governments, institutions, families, had the internet, or access to it?

Say it was 2022 , Black segregation existed and only White towns, cities, governments, institutions, families, had access to food distribution systems from meats to grains and vegetables—-Black towns had to rely upon small farms for food/meat.

Say it was 2022, Black segregation existed and only White towns, cities, governments, institutions, families, had phone service, local and international, or access to it?

See if we were wholly segregated as in some Black and AAs fantasies, we would be sorely limited——healthcare disparities already highlight by COVID among Blacks and Latinos, HIV death rates with or without antivirals/PRep, no wholly owned and funded hospitals in the United States of Blacks/Latinos.

We are still dependent upon access to White cultures expanded, non-limited, resources and technologies and therefore their created systems of military, social support, distribution and technological advancement,, to survive and prosper.

This is the ramification of less education and the focus in and after CRA, of being free but not becoming capable, comparable, co-partners in the industry of America. Blacks and Latinos couldn’t easily survive without White people because there aren’t enough of us with high level education to take over the maintenance and management of the systems that run the country——even if we could surmount White's being 5 to 6x more in population. Disregarding Whitney Young’s negotiating with the government and Big Business, MLK settled for a a watered down right to vote but not true progress. And later, he admitted this.

But that critical time, say 1970 to 1990, we didn’t storm schools and universities—-didn’t do a mass “catch up”, we simply continued on. And without a Whitney Young government guarantee by population—-13% of the US government jobs to be held by Blacks—-and so on for Latinos, Natives, Asians—-at a minimum, we could be soft discriminated against:

“Our company of 10,000 employees isn’t discriminatory—-we have 100 Black janitors and 1 Black Manager. See!”

vs.

“Our company of 10,000 employees isn’t discriminatory—-we have 1300 Black employees, by federal mandate, at a minimum distributed through the 3 tiers of positions from entry, managerial to senior managerial at the government mandated 13%—-we have to hire or promote every year according to the USA demographics or pay a tax penalty. See!”

Now what that would have done is that of say a round 50 million Blacks currently and about 60 million Latinos—-13/15% —-15 to 20 million of them——would be in government jobs, the same in private sector jobs—-and therefore that would severely cut into the approximate 50–70% poverty rates of both currently (20–30 million in total)—-which would in turn increase the GDP and GNP because more people working, having money, need to buy more things so innovation, industry, manufacturing are necessary in country, rather than shipped internationally, for capable and cheaper labor.

Racism and segregation has tipped the apple cart so that a lot of our American apples spill overseas. But because we opted for the right to vote/tokenism freedom rather than the right to progress-money advancement-equity (different than equality) we have two generations of Blacks and now Latinos who are not as intellectually prodigious as folk in India and China, and ironically, Africa. We are not any where's near the mass of STEM learned folk they are.

Blacks and AAs leaned into the idea of equality rather than the leverage equity would have given us long-term. And as of last month, 93% of mellinated folk self label and identify as Black. Nearly all of us agree to a limited, ephemeral designation-connotation, literally created by White people.

We have no power. In media, in industry, in commerce, in international relations, in medicine, in universities, in politics nor private business. There is no Black organization that can stop, halt, or derail any of the 11 Industry Sectors of America.

At absolute best, we could slow down entertainment, Facebook and TikTok videos of singing and dancing and buffoonery…but not for long.

Black (and Latino) culture—-as an aspirational, delusional virus (much like the social construct of race), has been injected into mellinated folk in the Americas, and beyond, to teach us to serve an ideology—-whether by whip or minimum wage; to not seek or wield power, and to eschew intense, rigorous education in our households by at least 50% of our current populations.

Blacks have been duped by the creators of culture—-who then back it up, support it with reparations, governmental support and land—-to others—-as sort of a brass ring just a hair’s inch out of the collective Black and Latino validity grasp but instead as a condescending box to entrap minds, hearts, futures and Human Capital within, without any of the 4 Pillars of true power of a community/culture—-businesses, schools, politicians and media/education nor homeland—-under our autonomous control.

Now, dear reader, reflect on Jews, Asians, Arabs, Indians, even some Latino groups and ask——do they have 1,2,3,4? Language, ritual, country of origin?

And how many of the 4 Pillars and 3 Cultural Precepts do Blacks/AAs have?

Black culture, like the delusion of race, is yet another dog chasing its tail distraction constructed for the Blacks to do, dance, sing, preach and extol and laud on about——circumstances not having changed by much in 100 years.

Kyle Phoenix Answers:Are there really 63 genders? How is it possible to have multiple genders? Google searches tell me there are 63 genders. Facebook gives you 58 gender options. Are there really that many genders? How can one be “tri-gender?”

Keep Calm, It's Just Melanin, Part 1 by Kyle Phoenix

I’ve written a lot about race.  Examining it and sexuality as two sides of an identity coin as I try to make sense of two categorizations that to the audience say everything about a person but to that person, the subject, reveal very little.  I live and work on the island of Manhattan, moving through millions of people every day who fall into such myriadical categories that I have a hard time sometimes discerning what language, much less dialect of that language is occurring next to me.  As I try to mature my work, through reading and research and talking to people, I find myself torn.  Torn between the concept of racial solidarity and human evolution.  I know that both exist but I suppose I want validation form the world, or definition from the world that one is a road trip to the other.

While teaching I am often challenged by either the topic or sometimes even the students to define race or two give a back story to it.  If I’m teaching about the Cuban Revolution then I have to define some aspects of the culture, the relationship to Western powers, what it means to be Latino, where the concept of Latino came from.  If I teach about the Haitian Revolution then I have to answer the classifications and injustices that sparked off such a vicious and lengthy struggle for liberation from the French, English and Dutch empires.  I’m literally forced to explain what I can only personally perceive as insanity.
By insanity I mean the lining up of people, in America, and based upon 4 arbitrary characteristics (lips, hair, nose and amount of melanin) creating a whole social system with deep stratifications.  Daily I watch the world around me revolving, pushing against, struggling with, railing at these arbitrary assignments.  Whether it’s young people routinely, and loudly, calling each other nigga or Black and Latino people attributing racial bias to everything that occurs negatively from someone who we would consider White, I see the roiling manifestation of this insanity.  While we’re able to track overt racism and the impact it has on individuals in terms of violence or the prison system or employment ias, I often look at the softer, deeper impacts.  Simply the stress of constantly carrying race as a burden, as a targeting system, as a weapon---whatever classification, Asian, White, Black, etc. you might fall into.  I remember when I was a teenager and I was experimenting with writing, figuring out plots and characters to explore, stories to invent and situations to imagine when race became an obstacle for me.  I’d written a ten notebook opus, The Hemmingways, a twisted ode to shows like Dynasty and Knots Landing and soap operas like One Life To Live.  As an exercise I can say that good parts were in the doing, trying out language and how to describe everything from clothes to the look of a room.  How to build and hold tension.  All the aerobics a young writer needs to go through with.  Suddenly I was confronted within my handwritten script by some characters being White, some Black, some Latino, a couple Asian and what did that mean?  I’d found that characters could attack each other and suddenly racial epithets became available but by their use I had to deal with the fact that meant that my characters, in their bubble micro-verse, had carried in racism.  And if they’d carried in racializing others then what did that mean for their characters?  Suddenly I was further confronted with the fact that I hadn’t done a very thorough job of dealing with race and the situations I was proposing in my fictitious world.  Okay, I thought and continued plotting and designing lives and plots and soon I realized that every time I introduced a character, race was either assumed or had to be explicitly stated.  By that I mean suddenly my characters seemed all White unless I said they weren’t.  And if they weren’t White (or worse if they were) I suddenly had to deal with race.  I found that I couldn’t have a multi-ethnic cast of characters without dealing with race.

The game over the years in my writing has become when designing a character to consider his or her race and then build a character appropriately.  But if I build them and they don’t fall into White then part of their inherent existence is dealing with race.  I then found that this translated off of the page as well, suddenly I too was conscious of dealing with race, experience race, considering race or purposefully not considering it, shutting off my racial barometer.  It’s possible but difficult.  In fact I wouldn’t call the shutting so much of off as a hypersensitivity to seeing people, seeing the potential for racial classification and trying to experience them beyond it.  For instance, young people, in their early twenties and below, especially women, I’ve noticed, are loud in public and on the train.  When I glance over I have to upbraid myself for racializing that general observation.  Often it’s Black or Latino people but sometimes it’s White ones too.  But I have to catch myself. I have to edit the idea that it’s just Blacks and Latinos.  That the Blacks and Latinos are loud because they’re Black and Latino.  I also notice that White people get negated, are treated like a necessary evil, pushed to the background of reality like white noise or static, unless I have a personal relationship with them.  Is that what they do to people who aren’t White, I wonder?

I spend a lot of time forgiving people nowadays.  It has a lot to do with understanding that race is a social construct and to my thinking an unclassified mental illness/delusion.  The delusion swings both ways though.  Recently with an invitation form a friend, I started attending a book club.  A Black book club.  She’d mentioned reading some interesting fiction and I thought it was going to go there, that it was going to be more fun fiction rather than the intense non-fiction discourse it became.  It happened right around my own school break from being a student and teaching so I had some mental hard drive space to do some really critical thinking about a text.  What discovered was that we could all agree that we were looking at the world but often times there was a racial prism that we saw through and that prism deposited us in only two possible spaces---us vs. them.  The them were the enemy, the enemy was White people.  Don’t get me wrong there were places and spaces socially and historically where we were reading about overt racism and prejudice but when we rounded ourselves up to the 21st century, I found a distinct lack of cogent thought.  I found myself throwing out a challenge to the anger and frustration and mental desire to rearrange reality with White people, I challenged the group: What do we want?  What do we really want?  Do we want to create systems and structures or recompense that is the equivalent of prejudice against White people?  Is that the greatest, deepest lesson we’ve collectively learned from oppression?  To be prejudiced?  Did we want to change White people or did we want to become them?

On the intellectual surface the questions seem salient, even incisive but in the group they became incendiary.  Why?  Over the years of doing workshops and teaching classes and being in classes, I’ve learned that people exist on two wavelengths at the exact same time.  They believe things which they don’t believe.  Or their deeply held beliefs that they use to construct their identity, don’t make sense, aren’t fruitful nor empowering but are viciously defended.  The answers to shifting social power to how to dismantle oppressive structures disintegrated to “…let me tell you how wrong they (White people) are today…”. It became a sort of victims topping game where seething anger and frustration was levelled at anyone who wasn’t seething and frustrated.  I’d hoped to not be in such an arena where I had to defend radical and progressive thinking (that somehow in spite of a truly disturbed and entangled history, we must find a way to dismantle this social delusion for the betterment of all humans) that it wasn’t aligning to White people or just as bad, denying Black people.  But any questioning or non-militant stance or seeking to evolve is often seen by Black people as collaboration, as if there are only two modalities within race.  We’ve adopted the oppressors concept of anything that questions the system is inherently opposed to it and therefore villainous and anyone that doesn’t vehemently deride the  ”other” group is a collaborator with them and a “race traitor”.

Ironically we’ve learned such tactics and perceptions from the very oppressors we label as oppressors.  We’ve found the enemy and he is us.
I wish I could tell you that it got better within the book club, it didn’t.  In fact, I watched as others fell out of the group for extremist reasons.  They felt the rhetoric was too extreme or more interestingly some felt it wasn’t’ extreme enough.  But a consensus amongst the people who left was that we were going around in intellectual circles, we were textually revisiting a closed past, we weren’t learning new skills to deal with the oppressive system we found ourselves in at varying levels, we weren’t sharing personal strategies and networking.  We were commiserating and definitively placing blame.  I bring this inclusively full circle to sexuality because I’ve been in groups that did the same but that notably in Black mixed sexuality groups, non-heterosexuality bias/homophobia and misogyny/patriarchy eases it’s way in, nibbles at the edges, offers to become a rallying cry or a standard.

White people don’t know completely what racism is because they project it but don’t always experience it.

People who aren’t designated as White think they know accurately what racism and prejudice are and use the value of their being racialized as a measurement of their ability to identify the bias.  “White people label me Black therefore I know what prejudice is.”
                But do we?

Case in point.  I sit typing in a classroom on the Columbia University campus on a snowy day.  I have a few haunts on campus, buildings where I know classes are over, closer to food spots, closer to the train, that I frequent for my long sessions of editing and typing.  The system here is that if a classroom is free a singular person or during finals sometimes small groups acquire classrooms but if you want it definitely exclusively to yourself, you have to reserve it.  Everyone is trumped by an incoming class.  On this snowy day after three hours of typing, sitting in a hard wooden chair and having pulled a muscle slipping and sliding in the snow, I laid out on the carpeted floor, just to pull my back muscles, to relax them in something other than this crunch I’m in in the seat.  I even found it was warm on the floor by the gentle heating system and I could read by the floro level windows or glance out and muse on passing students.
            Then two officers arrived.
Was I okay?
Yes.
Was I a student?
Yes.  And an employee.
            The public safety officers left.

Now when I thought about it I wondered had someone spied me through the frosted glass door in this 16-person (pretty small) classroom by myself for the past few hours?  Had they see me lay down and stretch?  Were they concerned I was having a heart attack?  Or was I just a Black man not doing what Blakc men are supposed to do?  The public safety officers were both Black, male and female, and earlier a Latina maintenance worker stopped in, checking to see if she had to clean.  Suddenly I’ve become racially alert or self-conscious.  Have I don’t something wrong?  Did a passing White person think I was out of pocket in my actions?  What can I do or not do besides sit and type?  AM I under video surveillance in the classroom?

Now here’s the rub.  I sure as hell know and notice that the White kids ain’t thinking this deeply about the whole situation.  In face when confronted with these racial-maybe situations I imagine myself “White” to check reality without my sense of Black identity and all the suspicion that goes with it.  (Harshly I want to get one of those shirts that’s says Keep Calm and add…It’s Just Melanin.  Or Keep Clam I won’t Be Raping You Today.  Or Keep Calm, I Won’t Be Asking for Money.)   Aside from my dark thought digression what I do see is that I regularly tour through about three different buildings, on various floors, midterms and finals increasing my visitations, to get blocks of time to work in relative quiet, in a safe, clean environment.  But race, the social delusion can make me crumple into either a frothing Black warrior wronged by the invisible White gaze siccing the Black proletariat workers on me, their brother!  Or Herbert Marcuse’s thoughts about the societal subject taking on the internalized paranoia of the “being watched by Big Brother” stance whenever challenged so as to self police.  Or suddenly uncomfortable in a room I’ve been coming to for years, when it’s free and have gotten an immense amount of work done.

What if, as I think about, as has happened in the past, they were just doing a routine touring of the building, saw my stuff on the table---laptop, books, Pepsi, coat and wondered where I was?  What if they were checking on me to make sure I hadn’t had a heart attack or some sort of genius mental stroke out?

Has race gone so deeply into our collective psyche that one has to literally sit back and do a five-minute critical self-analysis to figure out reality?  And what becomes of those who can’t critically think this reflectively, this calmly, present back to public safety I’m fine, my back just hurts?

I’m evolving.  I know race doesn’t exist.  I know it’s an illusion.  But in order to know that I literally have to wage psychic war, mainly on myself.

Enjoy!!!
