Yes, but they never listen but then I think that’s the nature of their created business.
Street vendors. We have a lot of them here in NY. I notice the booksellers—-there’s a huge one up on 72nd Street and Broadway. Thousands of books. They’re also big around Columbia so I see them every good weather day.
I have suggested since they’re all sitting there playing with their smartphones—-inventory all of your books, put them on Amazon. Have them selling around the world as they are potentially selling to passerby. Then just pull them from the table as they sell online.
They stare at me. I stare at them. I sued to make $50,000 a year doing this—-I just never went outside to do anything but mail books off.
But there is a Poverty/Employee mentality. People believe in a system that oppresses them to the point that the System doesn’t have to oppress people anymore, because 90% will kneel without the pressure.
The street vendors generally look like they’re subsisting on minimum wage after personal expenses and inventory expenses. And this is probably because they rely on chance customers, rather than deliberate ones from around the world. I’m beginning to think poverty and mediocrity for some people is a choice from a lack of ability to connect the phone in your hand to the internet—-instead of watching videos and movies and such but not figuring out how does eCommerce work.
