What are some hard truths teachers never tell students about after school life?

A degree isn't a job.

You're kind of a battery for the Matrix if you believe so. A co-conspirator to your own oppression.

But by the same token the Matrix is race and class imbalance, like at a 45 degree slope in some places and what a degree contains are like magnets for your hands and feet. You must master the Matrix to escape it. You really don't have to even go in, that might really impress me. But I think we need a place /space, like a Danger Room to exercise our abilities but we're not meant to stay in a singular kind of Danger Room for too long.

Education is mental calisthenics. Most of the easier than physical labor-work on Earth is more mental. Being advanced in your mental space is like being a Telepath vs Not Being One. You don't need a degree to become telepathic but you do need to educate yourself to possess better, higher than Not.

You will not be Zuckerberg, Oprah, Jobs or Musk just because you can envision them. You're only seeing an abridged, sliver of their lives. You are seeing them in Actualization not Development. 99% will not be that huge. You're going to have a normal, perhaps smaller, most likely smaller , life. And that's ok. Big lives are popularized as suggestions not demanding goalposts. They're like : "Hey, look at this! A person can do this with a life.". Think Tudor houses, ranch, colonial. Hey, look, you can live in that kind or that kind. Choices. Possibilities.

But if you can think, if you can create, if you can innovate then you will have been useful and learned how to constantly educate yourself. But if you don't, as time and humanity progress you'll lose value. That value allows you to take care of yourself, your family, retire. You're always in the Race to construct yourself, even as I'm gently teaching you there's a race, you're in it and how to construct yourself. You're in a competition on one level and you will never be in one on another. If you can see and then hold that duality, you win every single moment of your life. Most people can't.

Most of you think a degree is a job, so you'll get one and by sheer dogged foolishness end up in a spot where you either can grow or not grow at all. Ironically not your degree but your ability to self educate will get you out or keep you stuck.

Not only is life a mental game but the educated, having more mental prowess, play and live better. Yes, there are exceptions but the vast majority of the exceptions know how to educate themselves. You'll keep bumping into what do you know and how fast can you learn.

You think I'm teaching you this fiction, that math, some history----no, I am teaching you the Force and how to mentally manipulate reality with your prowess.
