Amazingly enough through TV and secondhand books---media people know the hearts and minds and emotional internal state of other people. No intelligence agency on Earth has been able to read minds yet some rando online who saw a two minute video on the news knows the state and internal dynamics of a marriage?
One would think I would delve into how ludicrous this is but I won't, instead I'll take the back door to this. This is how say someone manipulates you. Whenever I am personally manipulating people I give them a mulligan. Some bs spectacle to speculate and know irrefutably.
And then I fleece them mentally, physically, etc. . Its similar to the queen's gambit.
Play a sucker to catch one.
Or imagine that they could play up the scrutiny to distract you?
Nah, you're the smartest one in the room... Your living room, watching master manipulators and somehow YOU who are paying to watch TV can see through their ruse..
This kind of delusional arrogance is how you bushwhack folks to vote for anyone you want.
You are so easily manipulated by media that in order not to scream you have to convince yourself of insight.
Trust me, I have a tv show. You'd be amazed or not at what we get into peoples heads through God...ehh hmmm TV.
The best way to control people is to let them think they're in control. Of anything, even their own perceptions.

Edit:
I thought about Mellie some more in the shower.
I think it's a product of patriarchy that we don’t consider the wife's life when her husband becomes President. Her life is ended as anything but an extension of his, often in the prime of their lives, careers---they have to go sit on a shelf and smile and be congenial. You can't even get a divorce nor end your husband's suffering. Nancy Reagan couldn't end her husbands 20 years of suffering and move on because you can't legally "terminate" a president. A wife loses control and position as partner to her husband, his new partner is the Republic, first and forever.
Do you know we see them get into cars together but normally they don't travel together? Security protocol is they’re never together in the same car.
That in the event of anything bad they save him first even if it means leaving you and/or your children to die. The Office Is antithetical to a marital partnership.
Michelle Obama fought her husband, resisted, opposed and had to be talked into being with her husband as he ran, knowing a fragment of what it would do to their marriage, her children's lives. She thought it was a bad, dangerous idea. She wanted him to stay a Senator until the girls were at least out of school.
I think women consider the long range implications of Secret Service agents within 100 feet of you for the rest of your life, the constant intrusion of the media, the public---even adoration can be smothering, the effects on children their every foible tabloid fodder for the planet. Women also don't as First Wife have to play poker face as much but it's expected theirs be on 24/7. That women "be happy" just because their husband Is standing next to them. That they also be so happy they're constantly ecstatic. Daddy can bitch and growl and be grumpy but Mommy has to be on point, FOR everyone. Notice the question is emotion based for her because there's no career skills or qualification to being First Lady, it’s the appeasement, make him seem human, Office.
I'm sure Melania liked wandering around Saks and Nordstrom's without a full paramilitary retinue and smartphones clicking, I'm sure she's not overjoyed with the public increasing exponentially in their attention at her. Imagine if you had to figure out a national platform, a job to do, to preach and teach about for 4-8 years. She has probably had uncomfortable conversations with and about her family's safety, her own and the fact that she can NEVER go out alone again. With a ponytail, no make up and a cap she could and probably has haunted around NYC, even on the subway. That freedom is gone.
Watching too much Dynasty and Melrose Place TV People think every image and word "means something"; that everything, thanks to TV and films making government, leaders, etc despots and sadists, that's transferable to reality. Its not. TV People project so hard because they are not thinking, they don't want to be that 100% responsible for their minds and therefore lives, so they distract by projecting and watch TV.
Melania is a smart woman. She used her grit and smarts to get herself out of a country that will never have Disneyland, space program or say in world affairs. All by herself. Just wits and a pretty face. Trump met her at a party that Clinton was at as well. That means, she got herself there too. She's no model-bimbo. Also them Eastern bloc chicks?---ride or die, built like Seven of Nine from Voyager and emotionally more taciturn because they come from a harder life.
Trump, no matter his personality, is an eagle, Ivana was one, Marla was an affair that snowballed too far, too long----and Melania, if you look into her eyes, she's a motherfucking eagle. They're equals but unlike American women, her every thought, feeling and decision Is not up for inspection, dissection or revelation. She's not the kind of woman who is what we misogynistically project as a First Lady, similar to Hillary Clinton. Both Laura Bush and Michelle Obama"momming" it up to assuage political and social judgments about their husbands. She's her own thing, she's sovereign to herself----that's how you land a billionaire.
Melania like a lot of old country women is never going to be into publicly emoting, I don't remember her ever being so even here in NY. She's nice, polite, reserved, not haughty but she's a form of beautiful --- a lot of shit gets projected onto beautiful women. Very beautiful women especially by their cultures standards. Melania's beauty is an asset, curse and weapon I'm sure.
So no she's not a hand holder especially when a hundred photographers want to take a thousand pictures or you have to walk a fucking mile in the freezing ass cold just be cause he got a new job. In heels. His work has never demanded so much from her before. She could choose, opt out, say no. Now she can’t say no—-not to him but to the friggin’ country.
For him, its a crown in achievement of his whole identity, she didn't need it so much, loving him was enough. Now all these layers are imposed on them that they can't say no to, and a lot of their existence was about autonomy and freedom.
I think he's in love with her and her him. They're Sofia Vergara and Ed O'Neil from Modern Family. Look at Gloria, those tight eyes, that sharp 50 year old body and how besotted Jay is with her. We just don’t see Big Mouth and Foreign Femme engage but TV People, they're on every week, go watch and fantasize! Lol
Honestly he wouldn't be with anything but an Old Country Laser Diva. She’s not pissed or happy at him, she’s pissed and unhappy at YOU and your expectations of what a First Lady should do, wear, think, say, want, emote, feel, know, etc..
As often your answer is erudite and deep. Too deep I think- the question was meant to lead to a tirade against Trump: lies, womanising, duplicitous etc etc.

Our job in life is always to consider other people as people first, even if their direct experience is removed from others, different, seemingly incomprehensible. When magnified through TV people become this cacophony of immensity but when you don’t engage people that way and instead just consider them, aside from all the hyperbole, they make sense. It’s usually rather mundane and devoid of all the sensationalism. Everybody is just trying to be, to live, to get through their experience of life.
Smile, Kyle
