Kyle Phoenix Answers: How much damage would be done to you, if a Major News Outlet, accused you of doing something blatantly racist?

White people however assume when called racist, one means character....when in fact people of color generally mean actions.
Now imagine how racism is disintegrated by both positions acknowledging racist thinking and predilections.
Bob, that decision you made was racialized.
You know, Mary, I hadn't considered that I was judging that event from a racializing perspective.
Bob is not made out to be the irredeemable villain.
Mary becomes a trusted social colleague who can give Bob important feedback from a perspective he may be honestly unaware of.
White people have to give up entitled dodging and trust that others aren't indicting the core of their being. People of color will have to point out to white people what does and doesn't work based outside of the global assumption that white people"should know". That's a form of passive abdication of responsibility and assumes omnipotence following along with a racist paradigm that whites know all, intuitively.
Racism has engendered us all with this dissonance....like "not seeing color". Of course we see differences, that's a white form of invalidation.
Now the white folk reading this will have to trust Kyle is neither indicting you nor attacking, he's simply telling you what inside of browner skin and in browner skin conversational groups what we universally share as a racial error white folk make in trying to be non-racial.
Just as Kyle has accepted the "not seeing color" though erroneous is an honest attempt and not consciously meant to harm or invalidate.
The true step is adjusting to the concept that we, people of color , see you as just another category and not the default setting. The racers have been racialized.
See we can all unclench and breathe. A new thought and perspective won't harm either of us.
